No stranger to a bold and vibrant look, Danielle Marcan, introduces her exclusive ‘Curated By’ Ciaté London edit.
Q: Hi Danielle! Why did you decide to work with Ciaté on this edit?
I’ve been a fan of Ciaté, and they’ve been supporting me since the beginning, so I think it somehow came naturally for us to collaborate and create this curated box with all my must-have Ciaté products.
Q: Tell us how you went about choosing your edit?
I started with the Dewy Blush in Papaya, and although I’ve said it a few times already, I can praise it again, because it really was my highlight of 2020. At this point I think everybody knows how much I love the colour blue, considering this, I had to pick The Editor Palette in Aspen also, it’s the perfect combination of shimmery metallic and buttery mattes. I wanted to include two striking black eyeliner and mascara, so the Mini Wonderwand Liner and Wonderwand Mascara were perfect. And if this selection wasn’t amazing enough, I added the Shadow Flip in Peacock, this stunning multichromatic liquid eyeshadow that shifts into beautiful hues of blue, green, and purple.
Q: What's your go-to look right now?
I’m very inspired by my mood and how I feel that day, but my go-to look right now is a dewy glass like complexion, paired with a bold eye.
Q: What are your beauty trend predictions for 2021?
I think this is what I love the most about the beauty community, the volatility and the unexpected. But if I have to make some predictions myself, I would guess that ombré blush, 360 liner, and bold vibrant eyeshadows will be trending in 2021.
Q: Any tips for switching up our day-to-day makeup?
I’ll be the example and tell you from my own experience that I haven’t had more fun playing with makeup, since I dipped into bold colours. That would be my tip: experiment some new shades, it’s amazing how a deep, rich blue eyeshadow can make a hazel/brown eye pop. Try it out, have fun, and forget about “the rules”.

- For the eye look, use the Mini Wonderwand Liner as an eye base for your smoky eye, and then roughly blend the edges with the dark blue shimmery shade in the middle row of The Editor Palette in Aspen.
- Then use the Shadow Flip in Peacock all over the lid and then pick your favourite light simmer shadow from the palette and apply it on the centre of the lid.
- Finish up the look with a coat of Wonderwand Mascara and there you have it.
