Katie Jane Hughes creates a multi-tonal eye look with 1 product!

Katie Jane Hughes is the expert in colorful yet wearable makeup. In her latest IGTV, she shows us how to create a long-lasting base with dewy skin and a statement eye with our top products: radiant and hydrating Extraordinary Foundation, gel texture Dewy Blush, Shadow Flip long-lasting liquid eye shadow, and the mega volumizing Wonderwand Mascara. The video below will show you how to get that flattering and fun pop of color in minutes, that doesn’t look like you have tried too hard.

Katie starts out with our Extraordinary Foundation in 110Y Buff, buffing it over the skin with a small fluffy brush for control in her product placement. This formula has a medium, buildable coverage so it is easy to add more where needed. Katie says, "This foundation provides a glowy, glossy finish but with a really beautiful even coverage that doesn't feel too heavy."

She then adds a little liquid bronzer from Bare Minerals to warm up the complexion. You could also try our Bamboo Bronzer or a darker shade of Extraordinary Foundation for a similar effect. For a radiant flush of color, Dewy Blush is key. Starting with the shade Pomegranate, Katie applies a couple of dots into the palm of her hand and blends out onto the cheek with a brush for a natural dewy complexion. She also tapped a little onto her lips to show how versatile it is! The shade Papaya adds an extra pop of color to the cheek at the end.

"The Dewy Blush Glossy Cheek Tint is a product that I'm loving. It's super versatile and you only need a tiny amount. It just gives that perfect, glossy, radiant finish on your cheeks - but you can also apply to your lips for a pop of color. The Papaya shade is my go-to at the moment. This product will definitely get a spot in both my work kit and personal makeup bag!"

Next up is the star of the show, Shadow Flip, our multi-chromatic color shifting liquid eyeshadow. With a light, creamy formulation each Shadow Flip shadow creates a high-impact, other worldly metallic finish to the lids in seconds, and lasts for hours.

"Shadow Flip is a color-changing eyeshadow that comes in three shades: Peacock, Ember and Wonder. They each shift color when the light is on them - which creates a really cool effect. You can wear it sheer or full coverage so what I like to do is apply it sheer and build it out. They have this texture to them that allows you to buff them out and create your desired look"

Katie applies the shade Wonder (pink and green shade shift) directly to the centre of the eyelid with the doe-foot applicator and blends out with a fluffy eyeshadow blending brush. She demonstrates how you can sheer the product, and then build it up for higher pigmented coverage.

Instead of concealer, a lighter shade of our buildable Extraordinary Foundation can be used to brighten the undereye area. Katie applied the shade 106P Silk.

To finish off the eye look, she layers on our ultra-volumizing Wonderwand Mascara by letting each layer partially dry before adding the next coat. For a twiggy style bottom lash look, add some mascara product to the tip of a pair of tweezers and lightly pinch sections of the lashes to coat them.
"I've really enjoyed using Wonderwand Mascara. It has a weighted lid which is nice for stabilization of a product. Sometimes when a product has weight to it, it can help you get a better hold and make application that much easier. The brush also has the perfect bristles at the tip that you can use to deposit more product especially if you want a fanned out look."

The final step is lips! Katie applies a matte Nars lipstick as a base (you could also try our Liquid Velvet matte liquid lipstick) and tops it off with a touch of Dewy Blush in Papaya to and add a highlight to the centre of the lips and give them a “creamier” appearance.
